Next Gen....Bio class
Water....It amazes me.
I was in my biology class yesterday and they were showing a video about nature...but what I saw was the hand of God.
Did you know that there is only one element that all living organisms on earth require in order to survive? It is not just a few species, but all living creatures require it. It is the most abundant substance on earth. It has the ability to shape mountains and valleys. It can be used in sport and in destruction.
One substance - just this one substance - and it is.....water. Without it all life on earth would cease to exist. Through this one little thing all life on earth is bound together.
If we were indeed by random chance, then why would all organisms require water; why wouldn’t some use other substances as their primary staple? Couldn’t they find hydrogen and oxygen elsewhere?
But maybe the point of water extends beyond its cooling and refreshing properties; beyond its ability to sustain and to tear away. Maybe, just maybe, it is also a symbol that shows our connection to creation.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, and it is the glory of kings to seek the matter out.” (Proverbs 25:2)
Perhaps water has long been one of His great mysteries, and it is our natural born desire to discover those mysteries . . .
