His HALO Drop Behind Enemy Lines

When the military needs to drop someone covertly behind enemy lines they deploy a HALO drop. 

High Altitude, Low Opening is the vernacular and this is an apt metaphor of the Incarnation.*

Talk about coming from The High Altitude: The Alpha/Omega, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Bright and Morning Star, Captain of the Heavenly Host, Lion of the Judah, Judge of all the earth, and the one through Whom ALL things were made!

And Low Opening? ALL that Glory and Power reduced, restricted, set aside, and constrained down to what the Holy Spirit set in Mary: A zygote! Yowza!

Minimalistic parallel? If you took all your physical, mental, and social capacities, all your access, communication, and financial resources, set them aside to become an amoeba. 

His low opening included birth in a parking garage of the Motel 6 and His first bed was a fuel drum. (Donkeys = cars, ergo manger = fuel drum.)

God's Heir Strike Bethlehem shattered the darkness: The Light had come and that the back of the enemy was soon to be broken.

And like the D Day invasion, the enemy felt those shock waves and was quick to counter attack by Herod's insane infanticide.

We are not in ordinary times or days. 

We're in the nexus of the Feast of Lights, the celebration of His Birth, and a new biblical month.

Bottom line: BE IN AWE!

Push back the crush of the Xmas rush and rightly honor Him.   

Consider His Highest Altitude drop and extremely low and dangerous opening behind enemy lines.

All to rescue you.
