Taking a Break or Taking Ground: No Time for Tourists

One of the challenges we face as this particular (peculiar?Tribe and Troop is the wineskin God gave us.

The focus of any given wineskin determines the war waged, the battles fought, and the directions taken - or not.

Various wineskins prioritize ministry to the hurting, education of doctrine, fellowship as family, performance for gatherings, etc.

Indeed, we are all mandated to help heal the hurt, be sound in doctrine, connected as family, and lavish in worship.

But are those the greater objectives? What about taking ground for Kingdom?

As we discussed last night, the perspectives, objectives, actions, and impact of a tourist are very different from that of a soldier.

Tourists visit - they travel lightly by temporary stays (in then out) to observe but not disrupt the culture and are often relieved to be back home in their own beds.

Is that what God has in mind for the church?

The words spoken in Joshua 1 are for Christ's Body today: We have territories already given if we will but tread the soles of our feet upon them.

2026 is no time for tourists: Spiritual warfare is amped up, increasing, and we are not afraid.

Our weapons are not carnal; We do not fight against flesh and blood.

There are shakeups and shake outs and dividing lines are drawn.

Step up and step out: Be willing to be seen as the peculiar people He says we are. (1 Pete 2)

It's not time to take a break but to take ground.

Stephen
