The Necessity of Identity to Unlock Access & Power

If I want to access all the power and connection of my secured cell phone, I must first confirm my identity.
That is also true for how we move in and by the Spirit of God.

Our identity was set upon us via the Good Son-Keeping SEAL of Approval of the Holy Spirit. (Okay... some of you get that.)
His first and primary work is to function as The Spirit of Adoption by which our identity is established and we cry out, 'Abba, Father.'

That makes sense because Jesus was commissioned by the Voice of the Father as His 'beloved son, with whom I am well pleased.' (Mk 1)
After His Resurrection, Jesus commissions the disciples, 'As the Father has sent me, so I send you...' (John 20)

Jesus was sent as 'beloved and pleasing son' and by His Blood so are we!
This is critical because we often get our identity confused with our function, assignments, etc.

We ARE 'sons of the Most High God,' and subsequently we can then FUNCTION out of that identity as worshippers and warriors; servants and leaders; mothers and fathers; priests and prophets.
The first work of the Spirit sets the stage so we move rightly and fully in the rest - all the fruit, gifts, wisdom, demonstrations of power, etc.
When we try to work up those things apart from that first work of identity it's a polluted mixture of flesh and spirit: A wholesale disaster.
Just ask the seven sons of Sceva (Acts 19) how it worked when they tried to move in the power apart from identity.
The demon was not impressed and simply asked, 'And who are you?' The beat down followed.
As the battle intensifies we need to access the full measure of the fruit, gifts, and power of the Spirit.
As with your phone, your identity is access and the SEAL you bear.
