Don't cross before you look...
Let's cut to a core issue last night at the Deck, particularly for those of you moving far too fast to do anything but scan...
As we cross into a new Gregorian calendar year, keep in mind that 2017 and 2018 connect during God's 10th biblical month.
The tenth month is linked to all sorts of "tens" in scripture (10 commands, 10 spies, 10 virgins, 10 lepers, etc.)
Bottom line is this:
Ten is the number when there is an assessment by God and a judgment is made.
Obviously, that can be good news...or not.
Pulling out reference points from the various biblical connects to 'ten' you can use this, in part, to go before the Lord and see how your aligning -
Trust in Him v. fear of what's before you
Gratitude v. presumption
Relationship to Jesus v. the letter of the law religion
Being filled with the oil of the Spirit v. running on empty
Occupying for Kingdom v. stashing your various resources
Focusing on heaven for directives v. 'it's all about you'
That last issue is connected to the great narcissist, Samson, of the 10th tribe.
He operated out of a 'navel' command center.'
That's where your navel is the center of what moves you and how you make decisions.
How about us? Any forms of a 'navel command center' in operation?
This time of year is both a traditional and a biblical time to allow God to assess aspects of your life.
As we saw last night in Luke 10, 'I thought...' or 'I didn't know...' are not justifications for not aligning with His directives.
But He IS FOR YOU.
LOOK! Let Him show you the roots of any siege you're under.
LOOK! Let Him speak life and encouragement to how you segue into your next position.
LOOK! Let Him assess so you can access the fullness of the Grace He's set aside for you in the new year.
Look before you cross.
