Bad reports, good mixing, and the wheel
We've moved into the 5th biblical month, the month of Av: The warning how bad choices flow from bad reports but then the promise of the comfort of the Father.
Here are some things to watch:
1. You'll have to say, 'NO!'
Either 'No!' to bad reports that take facts and twist them, or...
'No!' to the directive of God to move forward into what He promised you.
2. Say 'Yes! to shake it, stir it, blend it up!
Having said, 'No!' to bad reports, actively and aggressively mix His SPECIFIC Promise and your relationship to Him.
At the border of the Promised Land, Israel did not get this right.
As it was with them, it CAN be with us:
Likely that there ARE giants, fortified cities, and issues you also face....BUT...
Just how big is your BUT?
(Hint: It's linked to how big your God is.)
This is a month when the Word and your faith need to be blended together like cream and coffee.
3. Stay on the Wheel: Embrace the Father's touch
The first 2 parts gets you properly position for God is reworking MUCH right now.
The Pressure of His Presence is that which centers you on the Potter's Wheel.
Lean into His hand that forms you, trims you, makes you into the vessel that He wants FOR THIS SEASON.
What you were before is being made new for the new.
There is a firm tenderness of the Father, if you will attend to his touch.
